Twaweza

Twaweza means “we can make it happen” in Kiswahili. It is a new citizen-centered initiative, focusing on large-scale change in East Africa. Twaweza believes that lasting change requires bottom-up action and this is what we tried to inspire with the six Television Commercials that we produced for them.

In order to achieve maximum impact and generate audience interest we decided that each of the six adverts should be presented in two parts, like a tiny "series", thus promoting active debate in the community that can lead to fruitful change in citizens' minds and attitudes.
